Following in the footsteps of one of the most iconic musical identities in modern entertainment, this project was all about joining the existing musical world established in the hit series and doing justice to the IP. The preeminent moment of this score was utilizing Kate Bush’s hit song, Running Up That Hill to drive the final climatic power struggle showdown near the end of the experience. We spent a day at Vintage Synth Museum in East Los Angeles capturing sounds from the iconic analog synthesizers synonymous with the 1980s and the sound of Stranger Things. The last step was recording a live orchestra to push the show over the emotional cliff and land an emotional moment for guests.

The show included a combination of linear score during cinematic set piece moments and looping background music for open ended moments in the space.
